Now again, this is a full hour after sunset….Moonset last night… It’s pretty (very) rare to see the moons outline with a 3.2 percent of the moon illuminated crescent… Let alone at sunset through all that ground haze and hundreds of miles of distorting atmosphere…….
NOTE: the next Image I post of this….compare the size of the thickness of the crescent to this one.. Atmospheric lensing.
Those clouds I thought were going to block the view of the horizon crossing in front of the moon but they moved on to the right over the next 4 minutes till the next shot posted this morning on my personal FB page.
