Lone Tree Sunset

Lone Tree Sunset

The Lone Tree on the remote back country ridge line has been a sentinel there for decades of high winds and exposure.. The soil he’s growing on is clay and rock with just scrub brush and sage around it. Nothing special for it, but this tree is one of my favorite subjects. He has a 180 mile wide horizon to horizon view from it’s perch. I can see him from close to far away both sides of the ridge for both sunrise and sunset.

Pronghorn Nursery Up on the Ridge Line

Pronghorn Nursery Up on the Ridge Line

This Pronghorn nursery was way high on a remote backcountry ridge up in the borderlands of Wyoming/Montana about 10 minutes before local sunrise and it’s a backshot from the sunrise show to our right.

They were patient with me and allowed me to move away without spooking them. I prefer not to pressure animals so I can approach easier next time.
I know this group having seen them every day for the summer so far lol. There are a dozen other groups of antelope on our ranch I follow/see in my travels.
