10 miles out are the “Prairie Dog Hills” and looking across the Wyoming/Montana border are the Red Hills off in the distance. The border is where the line of trees in the center past the haybales. The grassy /hay baled area is part of our place. Past it is as I say, another state. I own land in Montana but not that direction. More over my right shoulder lol.
Most of my photos have both state landscape or sky in them somewhere.

This is a shot over the Little Powder River valley at the intersection of Trail Creek about 1 mile south of Montana. The mountains in the distance are in Montana, I’m standing in Wyoming.
There was a LOT of grass this year. It’s still very green for late September.

Good Wednesday Morning from the Bliss DInosaur Ranch…
The Harvest Moon Setting on the Red Hills moments after sunrise last week. I get 2 days a month to work setting and rising full moons give or take. This moon was hidden from view up until the last few minutes before official moonset that morning. It took it less than a minute to disappear after this capture.

This wonderful Spring on the Wyoming/Montana border with snow in the hollows. The green is Irish Spring kind of stuff after 8 month of brown and white season last year.

Being that it was one of the harvest full moons setting across the Wyoming/Montana border from where I was standing. I remembererd to look up right at moon set because that moon had just emerged from a cloud band directly above it. It popped out for about 3 minutes total. That’s about 4 cameras being involved in my world…forever lol.

I got lucky on this shot. The Full Moon setting over the Red Hills is actually a tough shot to get historically. I have a few of this kind of image but not a LOT ……
Anyhow, the first ridge is 10 miles out and the second 40 miles out. I think what’s hiding the bottom of the moon is a cloud bank but I could be wrong.
I was working the moon much earlier then it descended into a cloud bank just above this window to the moon. It showed up for moon set on time to the minute
