This Image is about 1/4 of the Crescent moon, using a 6400mm telescope… It takes 16 of these photos to cover the surface of the moon and make a photomosaic. The resultant composite is a HUGE file and could be printed 5 by 3 feet I think lol. I have yet to come by that image and repost it to get it on my gallery.
THe Crescent moon was very bright versus the Nautical Twilight illuminated Windmill. (VERY DARK). I needed a handy filter, fortunately, “Sneaky Pete” the windmill jumped in and did the deed to moderate that light. That let me pick up the subtle hues in this capture of over 40 minutes before sunrise the other morning. This image will print a yard tall with resolution to spare. :).
